HIGHLINE FIRE DEFENSE

Highline Fire Defense
Wildfire defense infrastructure built for no-failure operation

Highline designs and builds wildfire defense infrastructure for high-risk properties and complex sites. We focus on the critical backbone systems that determine performance: dependable water supply, pumping capacity, pressure stability, standby power, and integrated controls.

Our role is to ensure the infrastructure is engineered, constructed, and commissioned so downstream spray and distribution components have the flow and pressure they require when conditions are at their worst.

What We Deliver

Highline Fire Defense focuses on the infrastructure layer that makes wildfire protection systems perform. Typical scope includes:

Water Supply Backbone

Cistern strategy, intake planning, wet sumps, and suction hydraulics engineered to protect pumps and maintain flow under demand.

Fire Pumping & Pressure

Transfer and booster pumping, pressure stabilization, and system tuning so terminal conditions are achieved at connection points.

Standby Power Integration

Generator and ATS integration sized for real starting loads, with runtime and serviceability engineered for wildfire scenarios.

Controls & System Logic

VFD logic where appropriate, permissives, sequencing, and operational interlocks to ensure predictable startup and stable operation.

Interface Readiness

Clean tie-in points for spray / distribution partners, with documented connection conditions and verified performance at turnover.

Commissioning & Testing

Startup, tuning, functional testing, and verification to confirm the system performs as designed under expected operating conditions.

Design Approach

Wildfire defense requires infrastructure that performs under stress. Highline designs with conservative margins and operational realism.

Verified hydraulic performance

Static lift, friction loss, elevation gain, and pressure stability are modeled and validated against real equipment curves and site conditions.

Reliability-first equipment selection

Pumps, drives, controls, and power systems are selected for serviceability and durability—not lowest cost.

Code alignment where applicable

Systems are planned with awareness of relevant NFPA guidance and local jurisdiction requirements, with clear documentation at turnover.

Ideal Applications

  • Wildfire interface properties requiring dedicated water supply and reliable pumping capacity
  • Remote sites where municipal water and utility power cannot be relied upon during events
  • Complex estates and facilities requiring engineered interfaces to distribution / spray networks
  • Projects where commissioning, documentation, and long-term serviceability are critical

Scope Clarity

Highline’s core focus is the infrastructure layer—water supply, pumping, power, controls, and verified performance at tie-in points. Downstream spray and distribution components may be delivered by specialized partners depending on project requirements.
