HIGHLINE POWER SYSTEMS
Highline Power Systems
Standby power engineered for critical infrastructure
Highline designs and builds backup power systems for complex sites where downtime carries real consequences. We deliver complete standby power infrastructure—from load analysis and equipment selection through installation, integration, and commissioning.
Our focus is dependable performance under real conditions, including remote access constraints, cold weather, and high-elevation derating.
What We Build
Highline Power Systems are delivered as complete infrastructure packages with clear interfaces to water, fire, and site electrical systems. Typical scope includes:
Load Studies & Sizing
Critical-load definition, starting inrush considerations, voltage drop realities, and conservative sizing for real site conditions.
Standby Generators
Diesel, propane, or natural gas generator packages selected for reliability, serviceability, and cold-weather operation.
ATS & Switchgear
Automatic transfer systems, distribution, and integration planning to ensure clean transitions and predictable power delivery.
Fuel Systems
Fuel storage and delivery planning, run-time requirements, winter fuel considerations, and code-aligned installation.
Controls Integration
Coordination with VFDs, pumps, and fire-protection controls so the system operates as a single dependable package.
Commissioning
Startup, testing, load verification (including load-bank as applicable), tuning, and owner turnover documentation.
Engineering Principles
Backup power performance is determined long before installation. Highline designs to avoid common reliability failures.
High-altitude derating
Generator output and cooling performance change at elevation. We account for derating and environmental conditions in the sizing process.
Motor starting & inrush
Pumps and compressors can drive large starting loads. We plan for inrush, sequencing, and control strategy to prevent nuisance trips.
Serviceability & runtime
Access, maintenance, fuel quality, and run-time requirements are engineered into the plan so the system can be supported long-term.
Ideal Applications
- Wildfire defense and pumping systems requiring guaranteed standby power
- Remote properties with unreliable utility service or long outage exposure
- Critical loads where clean transfer and predictable voltage/frequency matter
- Complex sites requiring coordinated operation across water, power, and controls
