LICENSING & COMPLIANCE
Licensing & Compliance
Mission-critical infrastructure requires disciplined execution, documented turnover, and alignment with applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements. Highline plans and delivers work with compliance, safety, and long-term reliability in mind.
We are headquartered in Colorado and support select projects nationwide. Where required, Highline coordinates with licensed engineers and qualified local partners to meet jurisdictional rules and project-specific requirements.
Compliance Principles
- AHJ-first approach: We align scope and documentation with the Authority Having Jurisdiction and local permitting requirements.
- Qualified execution: Work is performed by appropriately licensed or qualified personnel and subcontractors as required by the project.
- Engineer-supported delivery when needed: We coordinate with licensed engineers for review, calculations, and permit-ready deliverables where required.
- Documentation and turnover: Systems are delivered with clear operational documentation and readiness verification where applicable.
Codes, Standards & Guidance
Highline designs and installs infrastructure with awareness of applicable codes, standards, and guidance documents. Specific requirements vary by project, jurisdiction, and system type.
Electrical
Installation practices aligned with applicable electrical code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and AHJ directives.
Mechanical / Plumbing
System configuration and installation aligned with applicable plumbing/mechanical requirements, pressure containment practices, and serviceability needs.
Fire Protection Guidance
Wildfire defense infrastructure planned with awareness of relevant NFPA guidance and local fire authority requirements where applicable.
Manufacturer Requirements
Equipment is installed and commissioned in accordance with manufacturer instructions, warranty requirements, and service access recommendations.
Documentation
As-builts, configuration notes, startup checklists, and turnover documentation provided as scope and project needs require.
Testing & Verification
Functional testing and verification performed to confirm system behavior and performance at key interfaces and connection points.
Permitting & Coordination
Permitting requirements vary by jurisdiction. Highline supports the permitting process by coordinating documentation, responding to technical questions, and aligning installation with approved plans as applicable.
- Coordination with AHJs, utilities, and fire authorities where applicable
- Engineer-reviewed or stamped documentation when required by the project
- Constructability planning to meet code and access constraints
- Clear scope boundaries and interface documentation for multi-party projects
Safety & Jobsite Discipline
Highline approaches critical infrastructure work with jobsite discipline and a safety-first mindset. Our projects often involve high pressures, high voltages, heavy equipment, and remote access conditions.
- Defined work planning and hazard awareness
- Lockout/tagout practices where applicable
- Equipment-specific commissioning checklists
- Serviceability and safe access built into system layout where possible
